Licensed Veterinary Technicians & Veterinary Assistants

TRACI moved to Charlottesville from Southwest Virginia in 2004. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2002, with a degree in Animal Science. Traci has been working at Old Dominion Animal Hospital since August 2004 and has started furthering her education by taking classes to become a fully Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has two super-cute dogs and one cat.

MEG has a long history of working for Old Dominion Animal Hospital. She came to work here while attending The University of Virginia, moved away briefly after graduation, but has been back part-time ever since. She is a great help to us, as she knows all our hospital's positions. You might find her answering phones, admitting or discharging patients, running lab work, or assisting the veterinarians during an office visit. Her career keeps her busy, but she still finds time to come help out with the animals. When not working, Meg is an avid gardener and enjoys growing flowers and vegetables.

GABBY - I grew up in a small town in northern New York. My love for animals began at an early age. I grew up on a dairy farm and love everything from the cow to the chicken and even the mice. I graduated from SUNY Canton in 2011 as a licensed veterinary technician. Since then I have worked with doctors in holistic medicine, exotic (including zoo and wildlife animals), ER and specialty. I moved to Charlottesville Virginia in May 2015 to escape the cold and snow of New York and to explore the mountains of Virginia. I have had the pleasure of working at Old Dominion since September 2015. On my off time you will find me around town with my boyfriend, 2 dogs (Bella and Gaiah), and three cats (meemers, Erie and Asher) or exploring the Blue Ridge.

AMELIA grew up in Norfolk, VA and earned a degree in English from Old Dominion University in 2005. After struggling to find a meaningful career, she began working with animals in 2010 and earned her A.A.S in Veternary Technology in May 2015 from Blue Ridge Community College. She lives in Fishersville with her husband, dog, and cat.

Practice Manager

MEREDITH graduated from Old Dominion University in 2005 with a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She is using her years of experience at Old Dominion Animal Hospital to help her in her new position as practice manager. She has 3 cats - Cammie, Figaro, and Crystal - and 1 dog, Emma. On her days off she enjoys spending time with her family. Her specials interests are cooking and watching her kids playing sports.

Hospital Caretaker

DEVER has been taking care of the building at Old Dominion Animal Hospital almost as long as Dr. Wood has been practicing and we don't think he has ever missed a day. Each and every day he comes in and helps keep us straight. The hospital couldn't operate without him and the animals enjoy his friendly, soothing voice. Outside of work, Dever is very close to his family, and keeps planning that trip to Jamaica.
