• Pet Loss

The loss of a beloved pet is often something that many pet owners struggle to process. You are not alone and we hope that we can provide you with resources that can help bring you and your family peace.

The Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine offers a wide array of pet loss support resources, like support groups, 1:1 assistance, ways to help your children process the loss of a pet and many other resources. We encourage you to explore their resources here.

It is important to remember that grieving is unique to every pet owner. There is no timeline and no typical grief process. Some people start to feel better in weeks or months. For others, the grieving process is longer. Whatever your grief experience, it is important to be patient with yourself and allow the process to unfold naturally.
