Our veterinary technicians and assistants are our practice’s unsung heroes and some of the most dedicated and passionate people we have ever met. What does a typical veterinary assistant or technician do in our office?

 

Veterinary Assistants 

Responsible for helping with animal care (feeding, bathing, weighing, and caring for hospitalized patients).

Helping assist with surgical appointments and technician visits.

Assisting veterinarians with appointments, record keeping, lab work, and vaccines.

Helping to take x-rays, ultrasounds, and diagnostic imaging.

 

 

 

 

Veterinary Technicians

Patient care includes administering medication, vaccines, diagnostic testing, and monitoring.

Prepping patients for surgical procedures and assisting veterinarians with procedures and monitoring.

Educating owners on procedures, providing quotes and discussing pet health.

Supervise and assist with training of practice personnel.

Manage and collect lab work, take imaging and collect/maintain patient records.
