Raised in Charlottesville, Dr. Jagger graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in biology before attending Kansas State University for vet school. She returned home in 2006 following graduation and spent over a decade working in ER and urgent care medicine. In 2020 she was given the opportunity to be mentored by a board-certified avian specialist and further develop her love of avian and exotic medicine. Dr. Jagger is passionate about exotic animal medicine and helping owners with their non-traditional pets.
Dr. Jagger lives near Fishersville with her husband, son, and daughter. They share their home with a golden retriever, three cats, one bearded dragon, two finches, one African Grey parrot, and numerous freshwater fish.
