Happy Spring Old Dominion Friends and Family,
With the arrival of spring, we’re all feeling the excitement of warmer weather, blooming flowers, and, of course, more time spent outdoors. It’s the perfect season for both us and our pet friends to enjoy a bit more sunshine and adventure! Whether it’s your pet’s first taste of springtime fun or you’re already planning outdoor activities, there’s a lot to look forward to this season.
Here’s a quick update on what’s new and happening lately at Old Dominion Animal Hospital!
- We will be saying goodbye officially to Dr. Chuck Wood as he enters his retirement era. We are so appreciative of his willingness to come out of retirement in 2021 to help with the post-pandemic boom. We hope that you will join us in celebrating him as he steps into the role of grandpa fulltime! Dr. Wood’s last day in the clinic will be April 9th.
- We are excited to be welcoming Dr. Megan Badger to the Old Dominion Family. Dr Badger is a 2025 graduate of Saint George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine located in Grenada, West Indies. She started her veterinary education during the COVID-19 pandemic online at home in California before relocating with her Golden Retriever McGee to Grenada. She completed her clinical rotations at Virginia Tech, where she deepened her love of internal medicine. Dr. Badger will join our family on April 1, 2025 and will be based out of our Charlottesville office.
Some reminders so that you continue to receive the personalized, passionate and professional care that you expect from us:
- Medication requests are fulfilled within 48 hours of receipt. We work closely with Chewy, 1-800 Pet Meds and VetSource to fulfill online medication requests. We appreciate your understanding and patience while we take the time to ensure that medications are filled correctly and in a timely manner. If requesting medication online, please call, text or email our office to give us a heads up!
As we embrace the beauty of spring and all the adventures it brings, we remain committed to providing the highest level of care for your pets. We’re excited for the new chapter ahead with Dr. Badger joining our team, and while we’ll miss Dr. Wood, we’re grateful for the time we’ve had with him and wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement. Thank you for being a part of our Old Dominion family. We look forward to continuing to care for your pets with love, compassion, and expertise.
Wishing you and your furry friends a joyful and healthy spring season!
Warmly,
The Old Dominion Animal Hospital Team
